The DTMF Board is designed to work with the Alert 8D (software version number V8.60 and above) and PowerWave 16 (PW16) (Software Version Number V6.20 and above) Alarm Panels. The DTMF Board is to be used for Command Control and allows the user to Arm and Disarm the alarm or turn Outputs On and Off from a remote telephone by using secret 4 digit codes. The On and Off status of the alarm system or the output/s are given by special beep tones. The DTMF Board has an 18 pin socket that plugs into the opposite 14 pin socket on the Alert 8D and the PowerWave 16. In both cases the board can only be installed one way.
